International Insurance donates $150,000 to international education at Lambton College

A significant donation was made to Lambton College on behalf of International Insurance and will increase success initiatives for the College’s international student population.

Earlier this week, the Lambton College Foundation received a donation of $150,000 from International Insurance. The funds will be used to create additional experiential work programs for international students at Lambton College in areas such as co-op, applied research, work study and entrepreneurial activities.

As the second oldest college in Ontario, Lambton College has built a reputation as a post-secondary leader in education, training and research. In addition to Lambton’s full-time enrollment, the college is also home to a robust and diverse international student body.

“We know how important work experience is for our students’ future career success and cultural integration,” says Chris Slade, Dean of International Education & Computer Studies at Lambton College. “ has always been there for our students – keeping them safe and now coming full circle by helping them succeed in their careers by adding valuable Canadian work experience to their toolbox.” International Insurance is one of the largest international education insurance providers in the world and is dedicated to supporting the well-being of international students around the globe. Over the past few years, has donated over $3 million to the international education sector in Canada.

“We are honoured to present Lambton College with this donation to further support its growing international student population,” says Clark Hortsing, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, International Insurance.  “ started as a small family business in Thornhill, so we value the focus on entrepreneurship at Lambton College and want to play a role in helping their students achieve their dreams.”
