guard.me International Insurance recognizes that as an international student, being sick can be extremely stressful. Accessing medical care shouldn’t add more pressure to your busy academic schedule. With this in mind, guard.me partnered with virtual care provider Maple to offer students mobileDOCTOR. mobileDOCTOR lets international students access healthcare on their terms – whenever and wherever they need it. Best of all, this program is fully covered under your guard.me benefits for any new health concerns.
International students can receive treatment, diagnosis, medical advice and prescriptions from Canadian doctors within minutes. Physicians can safely treat the majority of primary care conditions virtually. Some of the most common requests from students include:
- Eye & ear infections
- Cold & flu symptoms

With quick access to a doctor through your phone or laptop, you don’t ever have to leave the comfort of your home. Prescriptions can be faxed directly to a local pharmacy of your choice for pickup, or you can have them delivered directly to your door. Maple creates a personalized online health record so you can keep an ongoing record of your health. The best part?
