As we step into a new year, we are taking a moment to reflect on what the past year has meant for GuardMe. Not just in milestones reached, but in the people supported, partnerships strengthened, and care delivered when it mattered most.

Honouring Leadership That Builds with Purpose

This past year, our founder and CEO, Keith Segal, was recognized with several honours that reflect a lifetime of service to the insurance and wellness industry.

Keith received a Lifetime Achievement Award from BMI, recognizing decades of leadership rooted in integrity, innovation, and care. He was also named a Mohawk College Distinguished Fellow, an honour that speaks to his long-standing commitment to education, mentorship, and community impact.

In addition, Keith was recognized for Outstanding Contribution to the Industry at The Pioneer Awards, an acknowledgement from peers who understand the work it takes to build something meaningful and lasting.

While these recognitions are deeply personal, they reflect something much larger than one individual. They represent the values GuardMe was built on and the standard we hold ourselves to every day.

Advancing Trust Through Technology, Privacy, and Compliance

GuardMe marked major milestones in strengthening the trust placed by institutions, students, staff, and partners worldwide.

In 2025 we achieved SOC 2 attestation, ISO 27001:2022 certification, and renewal of ISO 27701 certification. These certifications and attestations are recognized around the world as leading standards for data security, privacy, and responsible information management.

Together, they confirm that GuardMe has the controls, safeguards, and processes in place to protect sensitive information, respond to evolving risks, and maintain a secure and resilient technology environment.

These accomplishments reflect the dedication and expertise of many teams across GuardMe. Tony Searle and his department, whose leadership in privacy, compliance, and security made these achievements possible. Their work ensures that every student and every institution can trust that their information is handled with care and protected at every stage.

For our partners, these certifications provide true peace of mind. For our internal teams, they represent countless hours of thoughtful work, collaboration, and commitment to doing things the right way.

Strengthening the GuardMe Wellness Ecosystem

GuardMe also marked meaningful progress in how we deliver care. Our Wellness Ecosystem continued to evolve, bringing together coverage, services, and human support into a more connected and responsive experience.

From health coverage and travel risk support to mental health resources, crisis case management, and navigation services, our focus remains the same. Make care easier to access, easier to understand, and easier to trust.

The Wellness Ecosystem is not a single product or program. It is a commitment to meeting people where they are and supporting them through every stage of their journey.

Expanding Our Support at Home

Alongside our work with international students and global partners, we made important strides in strengthening our domestic offerings. This growth reflects what we have always believed: wellness support should not be limited by borders or labels.

This year, GuardMe also extended its support into the United States. This step allows us to bring our care-first philosophy to more institutions, organizations, and communities across North America. As we grow, our focus remains the same: supporting people with solutions that are thoughtful, reliable, and grounded in real human understanding.

Across regions and communities, the needs may differ, but the principle remains constant. People deserve support they can depend on.

Looking Ahead

The year ahead brings new opportunities, new partnerships, and new ways to serve. What remains unchanged is our purpose. We are here to support people through moments that matter, to work alongside institutions as true partners, and to continue building systems of care that put humans first.

As we move forward, we do so with gratitude for the trust placed in us and confidence in the path ahead.

Here is to another year of showing up, together.
